About US
Wooster Square is a community of close knit neighborhoods. We take care of our neighborhood and look out for each other. Through the block watch, we have organized our concern into email alerts and strategies to keep the neighborhood safe.
Currently, our Block Watch Captain is Sarah B. Greenblatt who lives on famous Wooster Street and attends weekly community policing meetings - COMPSTAT - and sends out weekly email reports to our community related to crime and other public safety issues of interest. Sarah can be reached at woostersqwatch@gmail.com.
Our community policing District Manager is Lt. Sean Maher who creatively responds to community concerns in the Downtown and Wooster Square communities. He can be reached at smaher@newhavenct.gov.

Our Goal:
Wooster Square Watch's goal is to bring together people who live and work in the Wooster Square neighborhood to reduce crime, address quality of life issues, and promote rewarding, neighborly relationships. Wooster Square Watch holds periodic meetings to discuss safety concerns and works with the Historic Wooster Square Association and the New Haven Police Department on community events to bring the neighborhood together.
